The club currently organises runs on most days of the week.

Monday and Wednesday night runs are the main club nights and will take place each week.  Thursday's track session and the Friday night club run take place most weeks, but they aren't guaranteed to happen so check the calendar for up to date information. Organised runs may also take place on other days, especially at the weekend so check the calendar

Monday nights typically involve a run from the club of about 6-7miles. The runs are split into groups of different paces and there are a couple of stops for everyone to meet up and so you can swap to a different paced group if you like. Each group will have a leader and the run will always have a back-marker so no one gets lost or left behind. In the summer Monday runs often take place from various pubs in the county and get us out and about a bit more.

Wednesday night runs are shorter, but more intense,  training runs which aim to build aerobic fitness and stamina.  There is a different type of activity each Wednesday throughout the month, usually including a track session, hill work, mile reps and intervals.  Because these sessions are shorter, and involve repeats of the same run,  they are ideal for those who want to build up to a monday night run.  See the calendar for details of each weeks run.

The Thursday track session is a longer and more intense than the monthly Wednesday one, and the friday club run is similar to Monday but usually at a gentler pace.

If you would like to run with the Striders just turn up at the club and ask for one of the committee members.
