What the Courier didn't report yet again! Getting a bit fed up of this. SL

Spa Striders dominated last Saturday’s Raceways 6 mile multi-terrain Christmas Cracker at scenic Moreton Morrell College. Proving his liking for this course with consecutive 1st place finishes was Mike Ellis in a time of 39:39 with Trevor Wilkinson 41:09, Rich Shephard 41:41 and Richard Brangwin 41:47 taking 4th, 5th and 6th places to claim the men’s team prize, Trevor for good measure taking 1st M40 category. Not to be outdone, Carolyn Wilkinson also grabbed 1st F35 and 11th place overall in 45:20. Bethan Gwynn was 3rd senior lady home in a time of 51:25 followed by Richard Bicknell 52:14, Dave Lindsay 55:30 with Roz Cox 59:03 (1st F45 prize) and Kate Evans 59:30 doing enough to claim the ladies team prize as well. All in all, the perfect appetiser for Striders Christmas Party the same evening.

Tempo Tuesday
August 3, 2010 (18:45)
Leave from the club 6.45pm. 3 mile warm-up to Lillington. 4 miles at Tempo (running hard between half-marathon and 10k race pace). 2 miles cool down. This gives you 9 miles with 4 of them hard. New runners always very welcome.

New Runners Night
August 3, 2010 (19:00)
2/3 mile steady run. All abilities welcome. Each run is led by an experienced runner and no-one is left behind. A good way to get fitter and makes a great 'lead-up' to a Wednesday or Monday session if you have never run before.
