9 Striders braved the wintry conditions to take part in the Godiva 5 Mile road race last Sunday. Mike Ellis finished in 11th position overall and 2nd M35 in a time of 27:32 followed by Trevor Wilkinson 21st and 2nd M40 in 29:34. Rich Merrell came home in 29th place in 30:26, Carolyn Wilkinson was 40th and 1st F35 in 32:09, Rich Sykes 60th in 35:02, Dawn Clark 76th in 36:17, Bethan Gwynn 87th in 37:30, Jackie Lindsay 91st in 37:59 and finally just edging a top 100 place, Nigel Fox 99th in 39:15.
Thursday Track March 11, 2010 (18:30) New runners always very welcome. Choose from a Bronze (4,000 +), Silver (6,000+), Gold (7,000+) or Platinum (8,000+) interval session at Edmondscote running track. Virtual medals issued every week. Warm-up (or) dynamic stretches at 6.30pm, session start...
