Interclub Race September 9, 2010 (19:00) This years 3 way interclub race will be hosted by Kenilworth Runners. 7pm start from the Great Western Pub, Deppers Bridge, near Harbury. Food at the pub afterwards. Club Night September 10, 2010 (18:00) An easy paced run led as usual by Terry Sensible Sunday September 12, 2010 (09:30) 12 mile run to Leek Wootton Golf Course & Hatton. As usual, the pace will be sensible. This is LSD; Long SLOW Distance. Enjoy a weekend lie-in, our anti-hangover start time is 9.30am. See you all outside the Striders clubhouse this Sunday. Milton Keynes Half Marathon 07/03/2010

Anybody who has run with me for some time will know that the half marathon has been something of a nemesis for me for several years - having recorded a PB of 1:43 at Kenilworth in 2003, I raced many halves since and have come close on several occassions but never beaten it. Marathon training has been going well, so I knew that last Sunday's half was my opportunity to finally record a new PB - 1:42:59 would have been more than fine.

The day dawned - perfect weather conditions - sunny, fresh and still, a fairly flat course and I was ready and raring to go. The race went fantastically, better than I could ever have hoped for and I was delighted to finish in 1:37:51, almost 6 minutes off the old PB!!

Looking forward to the London Marathon now!
