Pub Run

This weeks run will be from a MYSTERY PUB in Kenilworth. A cross country ramble between 6 and 8miles led by Dawn Clark. Bring your off road shoes if you have them.

 This week saw Stuart Mead setting a new club record of 2:47:09 to finish in 3rd place in the inaugural Fleetwood Marathon in Lancashire. Over the Roses border, Mike Ellis finished a creditable 6th place in 1:47:20 at the Yorkshireman Half Fell Race with Dawn Clark coming home in 2:19:44. Meanwhile 9 Striders made the trip over to Nottingham for the Robin Hood Half with Esther Wollaston 1st back in 1:42:21 followed by Jo Hawkins 1:43:18, Neil Butcher 1:43:24, Pete Schofield 1:49:00, Richard King 1:49:07, Clare Hinton 1:57:49, Naemi Kilbey 2:02:42, Sean Lonergan 2:02:43 and Terry Bright 2:04:02. In the Humber Duathlon, Rich Sykes completed the 10K run/ 40K cycle / 5K run splits in 2:13:11 for 8th place including a 42:56 PB on the 1st 10K. Moving up to Triathlons, Liam Godbert-Brown claimed 3rd place in the West Midlands Youth League with a solid 1:02:21 in the Wombourne Sprint Tri. Nearer to home, Vicki Smith, in 1:17:02 got 1st FV spot and 24th overall in the Southam Triathlon with Richard Bicknell finishing in 1:21:27. Finally, at Bala Lake in Wales, Steve Hilton took on the full Olympic distance (1500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run) to finish in an excellent 2:25:16.
